Fees and Policies

Accepted Insurance Providers

  • Blue Cross/Blue Shield

  • Aetna

I am unable to accept Medicaid plans at this time.

For clients with other insurance plans through other companies, I am considered an "out-of-network" provider.

We are able to still work together but you would be considered a cash paying client. This means I would not bill your insurance company and you would be responsible for the cost of session at the time services are provided. I am able to provide documentation on a monthly basis (a "Superbill") that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement of some or all of the cost of services. You can check with your insurance company to determine if you have any "out-of-network benefits" to get a better idea of how much reimbursement you would receive.

I also work with clients paying out of pocket ("cash pay clients") or those who are electing to not use their insurance benefits and instead choose to pay out of pocket.

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have additional questions about this or need clarification.

Fees and Payment

I offer a free 20 minute consultation to help determine if we will be a good fit to work together and discuss any concerns you may have about starting services (you can click here to schedule your consultation).

Session Rates:

  • Initial Intake appointment (approx. 45 - 60 minutes) - $190

  • Continuing appointments -

    • $140 for 45 minute session

    • $170 for 60 minute session

Frequency of appointments for most clients is weekly or every other week.

I do require that a credit card be kept on file.  Accepted methods of payment include Visa, American Express, MasterCard, and Discover (this includes HSA/FSA cards).

Cancellation policy
I respect your time and I ask that you choose to respect mine as well. A scheduled appointment reserves that time for only you. If you need to change your appointment time or cancel please give 24 hours notice. Not showing up for your appointment will result in being charged the full cost of session to the card on file. Appointments cancelled less than 24 hours in advance will result in an $80 late cancellation fee if we are unable to reschedule during the same week, with the exception of emergencies or sudden illness. This cancellation policy applies to both those paying out of pocket and those using insurance, and insurance will not reimburse the cost for these fees.

Session Details

The initial intake appointment is our first meeting (whether in person or telehealth via secure video). We will discuss your reasons for seeking therapy; any relevant personal, social, and family history; any concerns you have or questions for me; and your goals for therapy. Plan for this session to take approximately 45 to 60 minutes to complete.

After completing the intake, typically sessions are held weekly or every other week and are 45 to 60 minutes in length. We can discuss what will be the best option for your needs, your schedule, and your finances.
